Color Palette: Five Tips for Using Blue & Yellow in Your Home

The bold blue and bright yellow color palette in the Room of the Week is perfect for a fun kids space.  And, I really love that it’s paired with darker woods and lots of white and neutral colors so it doesn’t feel like a circus.  I am usually drawn to using complimentary blue and orange together, but I think pairing blue with yellow a lot more daring.  I scoured the internet looking for grown-up rooms using blue and yellow and they are surprising difficult to find.   But, I pulled together 10 of my favorite rooms to show you how you can make these colors work in your home.

I feel like having a jolt of yellow would make any room feel instantly sunny.  How do you feel about using this bold color palette?
