Situated in a peaceful site on the edge of Mallydams Nature Reserve is the Looking Glass Lodge, a secluded eco-lodge which combines luxury living with sustainable design. Developed with biophilic principles, guests can use the space to relax, improve their connection with nature, reduce their stress levels and increase their well-being in a calming setting.
The warm and welcoming lodge has been built by local craftsmen utilising natural resources, such as cedar wood, creating a sense of harmony between the architecture and the natural world. Thoughtfully designed, it features a large deck area, an open-plan dining and sitting room, and floor-to-ceiling electrochromic windows to appreciate the exterior's exquisite views from the inside.
The relaxing interior design is characterised by natural, organic materials and a colour palette inspired by the surrounding woodland. The twentytwentyone Contracts team provided a range of furniture and lighting to create a sense of harmony between the architecture and the natural world, including the Carl Hansen CH25 lounge chair, the Secto 4201 pendants, the Marset Ginger AXL42 wall light, the Hay Quilton sofa and the Hay Bowler table.
Outside, we supplied the HAY Palissade lounge chair and ottoman in olive green, which complements the surrounding woodland.
