The monochromatic color palette of our Room of the Week is the first design element I noticed when I saw the picture for the first time. It’s such a dominant design feature that if done wrong could be dull and lifeless. However, I think Phoebe Howard showed how to do it perfectly by making sure to add an interesting mix of textures and patterns and different shades of brown.
And, to honor the color brown, which has been pushed aside a little the past few years as gray becomes a more dominant neutral color, I put together this little color wheel of some of my favorite brown or brown-ish fabrics.
Have you ever used a monochromatic color palette? If so, what color did you use?
