Color Palette: Joseph Albers Inspired Color Palettes

Picking a front door color could be intimidating.  You want it to work with your house color (which is very hard and expensive to change), and your trim color, and also work with any brick or stone you have on your house as well.  So, I thought it would be a good idea to draw inspiration from a master of color palettes, the famous painter Joseph Albers.  His color series, Homage to the Square, examines the relationships of colors, and provides great color palette inspiration for home exteriors and interiors.

I chose several of his paintings and paired them with homes that work within the same palette.  I stuck with gray homes, as gray seems to be the neutral color of choice for this decade.  Take a look!
