The Anatomy of a Summer Thornton Design

My mom was visiting this last week and we were talking about this here blog, and she mentioned that it seemed like all the rooms I featured here were very similar, and since we know that moms are usually right (well, alright, always) so I am going to spend the next few weeks in June branching out a bit.

This week I am doing a more traditional and formal room than I usually feature, which was designed by Summer Thornton who was recently named a top new traditional designer by Traditional Home magazine.

And, even if you don’t have a formal room in your home there is a lot to learn and use from this beautiful living room.

Or, do you like to use a mix of styles in your home?

  1. Um….. it’s true. Your mom is always right, and she was right this time too! I love all your post but I especially love this new post. Thanks Gayleen for thinking of us old traditionalists!
