My Portfolio: A Couple of Fun Kids Rooms

I have a little project to share with you today to finish off the week.  I’ve been helping a friend decorate her brand new house.  She has four darling children and they each have their own bedroom, and she wanted to them to be very personalized and special. We started with basically a blank slate and a simple budget, which was a lot of fun.  Here are the mood boards I created to help her kids visualize my plan (I’ve included sources should anything peek your interest).

Her 7-year-old daughter just requested pink and sparkles and bows…so that is exactly what I tried to give her.  The room is definitely PINK and frilly and my own 7 year old daughter was jealous it wasn’t hers!  chayse room copySOURCES: Pink Rug | Side Table | Lamp | Canopy | Pink Chair | Ruffled Curtains | Ruffled Quilt & Shams | Pink Headboard | Bow Pillow | Pink Ruffled Pillow| White Floral Pillow |

Her oldest son wanted a green room with a lego/outer space theme.  I loved using the simple requests as a starting point and added in some additional colors and fun design elements.

I’m planning on taking photos of the completed spaces once they are done and sharing them with you here.

I hope you have a great summer weekend!  It’s cooled off a bit in our neighborhood, so I’m planning on spending lots of time in my garden.  See you next week.
