The color that stands out most in the Room of the Week is definitely green. But it doesn’t overwhelm the space because there are several different shades, and it’s balanced by equal amounts of white and brown. There are 3 different green colors in the room: a light, medium and dark, which only appear in smaller amounts. This monochromatic formula could work well for any room you want to design…pick a light, medium and dark shade of your favorite color and use them equally through the space.
Here are some great examples of using 3 shades of the same color to create a simple, but beautiful room.
Which monochromatic room is your favorite?
Or do monochromatic rooms seem like too much of a good thing?
