A Color Palette: Warm or Cool Modern

Sorry for the silence on the blog yesterday…it was my birthday on Wednesday, so I took the day off and didn’t put together a post.  But, I’m back today talking about the color palette in the Room of the Week.  I love how warm this modern space feels despite all the metal and bright white paint…and it owes its warmth to the warm grayed tones of the tile, cabinetry, and leather bar stools.

I think this space could be equally beautiful with cool colors, it would just lose some of its cozy warmth.  I pulled together a cool color palette so you can get an idea of what that would look like:

If I was going super modern, I would most likely use white or black leather, ditch the green for white or black.  But, I would keep the stainless steel and light wood.

What would you do?  Do you prefer the cool or warm modern color palette?  What is your kitchen right now?
