Color Palette: Pairing Intense Hues with Bold Patterns

The color palette in the Room of the Week is very bold.  Large amounts of deep intense teal mixed with the equally bold black & white ikat pattern give the eye an interesting focal point from any spot in the room. Tempered with lots of white, wood and gray the room keeps its contemporary vibe and feels streamlined and clean.  And, I think it’s a color palette that balances masculine and feminine making it a great option for men and women.

I do love the color palette…maybe it’s because it was my high school’s colors?   Here are a few of my favorite teal, black & white picks if you also love this color palette.

I think you any intense hue would work with this formula.  Emerald green, golden yellow, lipstick red…they would all look good paired with similar graphic black & white patterns.
