Piece de Resistance: The Versatile Globe Pendant

The pair of beautiful glass globe pendants in the Room of the Week are such a good fit for this kitchen for several reasons:

  1. The round shape mimics the round shapes in the backsplash tile.
  2. They are large, but the clear glass keeps them from taking over the space visually.
  3. The silver hardware matches the rest of the metals in the kitchen.

My favorite thing about this type of pendant in particular is that with just a change of hardware it looks completely different.  And there are options for every style on the market today.  Here are a few of my favorites along with a corresponding style (though each of them would work with several different styles):
