Color Palette: A Pillow Inspired Palette

I don’t know if the throw pillows on the sofa in the Room of the Week were the inspiration for designing this room, but let’s pretend they were.  So many beautiful colors in just a 20×20 inch square piece of fabric.  If you’re looking to redecorate or refresh your own room, new throw pillows are good starting point…once you have those in place they can inspire the colors and textures for the rest of the room.

I’ve put together five different “color palettes” inspired by some of my favorite new throw pillows on the market.  It seems like every major home decor store is offering their own version of an embroidered or crewelwork pillow this season.  I’ve been collecting vintage crewelwork textiles for years, so I am really happy to see it coming back!  I hope these scenarios inspire your own home refreshing.
