Housekeeping: A School Hotel Room Project

Just a quick post today to finish the week.  I have tons of projects I am trying to finish around my house this weekend and want to get a head start. So, I am leaving you with some presentation boards I made for my commercial design class this last week.  We were designing a hotel room.  We were given a blank floor plan and the charge to create bedroom and bathroom areas, along with a desk and other storage areas.  We had to hand draft and render the floor plan and create two different elevations or perspective drawings showing two different walls in the room.  Here’s what I did!

The board below gives you a good idea of fabric and tile selections and the basic color palette of the room.hotelroommoodboard

Here’s a close-up of the bed wall and the built-in storage I designed.  As well as the wall opposite the bed with a pretty fabric wall covering and a place for the TV.  hotelroomcloseupHave a great weekend!  And, hopefully I’ll get my projects done so I can share them with you next week.
