Design is in the Details: How to Create a Hardworking Hallway

As my family has grown I’ve realized that I’m happiest with my home when the items in it are both pretty AND easy to maintain.  This mix of form and function is especially beneficial in transition spaces, like hallways.   A hallway is usually a high-traffic area that gets lots of use and heavy wear.  But, it’s not a place you want to spend large amounts of money decorating or large amounts of time maintaining.  The Room of the Week hallway provides a few tricks for creating a hardworking hallway that is both pretty and functional.
