A Red, White & Blue Color Palette

I can’t say that I have ever been drawn to a red, white and blue color palette before…but I love how those colors work together in the Room of the Week.   The bold red and blue really wake up the space, but since they were injected in small doses they don’t overpower the mostly neutral room.

I challenged myself to make this color palette work in 3 other styles, without looking patriotic or cutesy.  Here’s how those colors might work if you wanted to use them in a transitional, traditional or modern way.

I think the key is to make sure you use one of the colors (red) as just an accent, and the other two (blue and white) as neutral colors in the room.
