My Home: A Plan for My Little Girl’s Room

My daughter has been talking about re-doing her room for months, so I introduced her to Pinterest a few months ago and together we spent a few hours looking for inspiration…you can see the board we created here!  She really only had two requirements, a canopy over her bed (which she bought for herself with her own money), and to banish pink from the room and replace it with navy, mint and coral.

We’ve been slowly gathering supplies, and painting the room and her bed and creating artwork together and we’re almost done!  Here’s a little peek at the direction we are headed.

A Grown up Little Girls Room | www.theanatomyofdesign.comUp until this point she hasn’t had any strong opinions about the way her room looked (I thought she liked the pink!).  So, it’s been fun to go through the design process with her and see her personality unfold in the room.   Do your kids care about the color palette in their rooms?
