Create Unity & Fun With Matching Patterns

One of my favorite things in the Room of the Week is the smallest of details that anyone can pull off to instantly create unity in a room. See that honeycomb shape in the lamp and pillows and even in the bowls on the bookcase?

By adding multiple items with a similar shape to the room it creates a small little thread that your eye can follow around the room.  It simply ties the room together.  This simple trick is easy to pull off …here’s some matching lamp/throw pillow combinations that share similar shapes to show you how it’s done!  This is the perfect trick if you feel stuck adding these final layers to your room and want to quickly make your room look pulled together.

One Tip to pulling this look off successfully…make sure the scales of the patterns are different sizes so they don’t compete!
