I mentioned in my last post that I was making new plans for my blog. I’ve had the best time the past 3 years featuring talented interior designers and their amazing work, and discovering the best products, and design tips and tricks, and sharing it all here with you! My goal was always to make my blog a place where I could practice my interior design skills before I launched my business, and a place where readers could come and learn how to use the elements of design to create their own beautiful homes.
I’ll still be working to keep this blog a place where you can come and learn about design and how to apply it to your own style and space. But, I’m going to add in a lot more from my own design projects in my house and with my clients. I hope you stay and follow along…I have lots to show you in the coming the weeks, especially around my house as I transform it from a plain jane rental house into our home!
But before we move forward, let’s take a little step backward. Right before we moved out of our Maryland house I photographed my master bedroom. It was actually one of the rooms in my house that I felt was pretty complete…no big changes I wanted to make.
I painted it Sherwin Williams Light French Gray, which ended up being a great backdrop and looked really lovely in the afternoon light. And recently I created that large painting to hang above my bed to tie all the colors in the room together and create a stronger focal point.I don’t think I will ever tire of my vintage floral scarf turned pillow! I love playing with little vignettes on my dresser. This brass jewelry stand is one of my favorite estate sale finds ever! My husband loved having this corner in our bedroom that was his place to unwind, which included posters of some of our favorite concerts we’ve attended together.I hope you enjoyed this space! See you back here tomorrow.
