Danielle Colding, the designer behind the Room of the Week, is kinda a master at styling the perfect vignette. For example…those bookshelves walk the perfect line between styled and overstyled.
And, my favorite moment is the simple, but beautiful fireplace styling. It is decorative but not cluttered and is a nice resting place from the busyness of the bookshelves nearby.
And, it’s a formula that works for almost any style and space…some kind of art in the middle with a large piece of sculpture on one side and a trio (or other odd number) of candlesticks on the other. Here’s a few little scenarios I did to test the formula and show you how it works for so many styles!
I shared a peek at my own current mantle for fall a few weeks ago on Instagram…no large pieces of sculpture, but plenty of candlesticks!
What do you think of the formula? Anyone up for giving it a try?
A few weeks ago I spotted the home tour of interior designer Danielle Colding on Design Sponge. I fell in love with her style, and immediately clicked on the link to her website to look at her portfolio. She does such a great job mixing styles and creating rooms that are both tailored and comfortable.
I picked one of her rooms as the Room of the Week…let’s jump right in to looking at the design elements at work in this space!
I cannot stop picking rooms with this red/orange shade to feature here on my blog…maybe I should use it somewhere in my own house so I can stop obsessing over it online!
I’ll be back tomorrow to share more great moments from this room.
