The Beauty of a White Desk

I mentioned in my last post about my office makeover, that I am going to trade out my current wood desk for a white one.  I really want something to contrast the darker green walls, and a plain white surface to use when I am working on design projects.

There are so many pretty white desks on the market right now and here are 5 good reasons why a white desk might be right for you.

So many pretty options…but I think I’m going to try to DIY a desk, because I want it to be a specific size to suit the room. If it works I’ll share my progress here!  If not…well, then I’ll be purchasing one of these finds!

That blue sofa in the Room of the Week is one of my favorite elements in the room.

Garland_157_2It adds beautiful color in the room without taking over, and adds to the serene mood of the room.  I’ve used blue sofas in two projects recently…

28 Beautiful Brass Lamps

We’re gonna spend the next few days talking about this little vignette in the Room of the Week.  It’s styled so prettily, don’t you think?

The colors in the room are fairly soft, so I love the pair of bold shiny brass lamps in the room that add another layer of color and texture and sophistication to the room.  It used to be that brass lamps signaled a space that hadn’t been updated in some time,  but not anymore!  Brass table lamps now come in every shape and style and style imaginable, and I think this particular metal is here to stay.  If you are looking for a way to add warmth and shiny to a room, try one of these brass beauties!
