One of my favorite things in the Room of the Week is the pretty bamboo coffee table right in the center of the room. I love how its pretty feminine lines and dark color contrast the plush shapes of the white slipcovered furniture.
The bamboo-styled legs are a fun way to bring a natural element to the room. If you are looking for a simple, feminine piece of furniture to add to your mix, here are 16 pretty tables in a variety of finishes and price points.
I’ll be back tomorrow to show you how I would decorate this pretty room for Christmas!

I love that streamlined media console in the Room of the Week. It looks sophisticated and sleek and light and bright…that’s a lot to pull off for one piece of furniture! That white and wood combo in a midcentury-inspired shape is super popular right now. The long horizontal lines of a media cabinet work well in a mid-century style, while the white adds a fresh modern twist.
Here are 13 options, including some budget-friendly prices from Ikea, if you are looking for something similar!
Last week I shared some fall decor ideas for this year. One of them was a candle sconce, which I am really loving this year! They are fairly inexpensive, compared to electric wall sconces, and add a beautiful texture and shine to a room. I scoured the internet for some gorgeous new and vintage finds…there really is something for every style! Here are 20 of my favorites!

Here are some real-life examples of where and how to use candle sconces inside a home! (Just click on the picture to go to the source)
An entry is a great place to hang a pair of candle sconces…such a cozy way to greet guests when it gets dark so early.
Light the path up your stairs with candle sconces.
The fireplace is a great place for candle sconces, when you are looking for a more affordable solution to electric sconces, with the same amount of beauty.
A pair of sconces can help create beautiful symmetry in a formal room.
Even bathrooms can use sconces!
I hope you feel inspired by this little idea for fall. Do you have any unique ways you incorporate candles into your home for fall?
One of my favorite little details in the Room of the Week is the pair of lamps at each side of the bed.
While it’s not the most economical or practical solution to have that many lamps in a bedroom it is a fun artistic idea, especially when the lamps are so sculptural. I love the way the black wall lamps look a little more modern and the table lamps are more traditional. Those black wall sconces are like a little exclamation point in the room helping to make the bed the focal point of the room.
And, right now little black sconces are everywhere. Here are 21 black wall sconces to suit almost any style!
It’s hard for me to choose a favorite, I can imagine using all of these in a project. But, I think a pair of those brass and blue beauties (#15) from the shop Triple Seven Home are gonna make their way to my home soon! Have a favorite?

One of the smallest, but coziest, details in the Room of the Week is the great mix of throw pillows. Velvet and fur pillows are very on-trend and in-season right now. If you are looking for a quick, and relatively inexpensive way to add texture and warmth both literally and visually to your home for fall, then look no further than a few throw pillows.
Here are some of my favorite fall pillow finds from my favorite pillow sources.
If you don’t have lots of money to decorate new each season (me too!) then definitely to over to H&M…their velvet pillow selection starts at just $10 and they have tons of colors!
